Who We Are
The Volunteers of Vacaville is an innovative 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1960 for the purpose of providing the visually and physically handicapped community with audio book recording. Since our inception, we have provided hundreds of customers with thousands of books and services that they would not have been able to receive elsewhere. This unique program also provides inmates with the opportunity to learn social responsibility and valuable job skills while serving their term of incarceration at the California Medical Facility, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
