The Volunteers of Vacaville has a full Braille production center. Our services include Braille Transcription of literary, textbook, and Nemeth braille formats. Our staff of Braille transcribers, all certified in Literary Braille Transcription by the Library of Congress, will transcribe your printed materials using the latest industry tools.
At this time we are able to offer the following services:
Braille:
- Literary or Textbook Formatted Braille - $ 2.00 Per Page
- Nemeth Braille - $3.00 Per Page
- Proofreading - $ .20 Per Page
- Tactile Graphics - $ 5.00 per Page
- Preformatting - $ .25 Per Page
(the structuring and format layouts of materials that we will NOT be providing the actual transcription of) - Format Conversions - $1.00 Per Page
(the conversion of existing braille files into other formats such as Interpoint, Uncontracted, Double Spacing, etc.)
Embossing:
- Embossing - $ .10 Per Page
- Binding - $ 2.00 Per Volume
You should allow 8 to 12 weeks for delivery.
Computer file copies are available upon request.
Placing an Order:
To place an order print the Braille Transcription Order Form, complete the form and send it along with your book or material that you would like transcribed to the Volunteers of Vacaville.
